With all due respect Mr. Crapper - I hear your complaints, I hear your whines, I hear what you are saying. While many of your points are valid, I never hear you offer a solution to the problems that you say are turning Queens into - crap. You live here - you hate it so much - leave. Move. I bet I can sell your home.
A few months back you quoted my blog - I posted comments on your blog, informing you that the price has not changed on MLS and you never published any of my comments. I posted another comment for a solution to one of your questions again, I was never published. I wonder why?
In the article that you cite from Queens Tribune - You criticized how Theresa Juva did not provide a link to your blog - Where was your link to the original article?
Mr. Crapper - I live in Queens - which I am assuming so do you. I love Queens and yes, I can say that there are some things that need some fixing and some people from office that need to be removed - but all in all - I will promote the good of Queens, while you tear it down.
While you continue to say that the building has been running amuck - and many might agree with you, I am one that can say that the McMansions that you speak of - have added value to our area and has made Queens one of the most desired areas to live in. If you look at how well our Real Estate Market has done, then you would realize that we have alot of wealthy people living in the 11357, 11358, 11364 and other zip codes. Explain to me why that is a bad thing?
Again, Mr. Crapper - I hear you and I understand where you are coming from - but, remember alot of people who live in your direct area might like to hear a solution to your complaints, so I am sure when you run for office - you will have a big following!
"A few months back you quoted my blog - I posted comments on your blog, informing you that the price has not changed on MLS and you never published any of my comments."
If you had read the original post, you would have seen the link to where the info about the price drop came from. Here it is from the Times article:
"They may be getting more interested; the price was reduced to $6.5 million from $8 million just last Thursday."
As for the article about QC in the Queens Tribune, the link was originally there, then I found that a longer version of it was on QueensPress.com, and I linked to that instead. Then that link went dead, so I had to copy any paste from a Google cache for posterity. And that version did in fact contain QC's web address.
I have offered several solutions to problems. How about spending some of that unexpected $3.9 billion budget surplus on things like building inspectors, city planners and the like?
I have no problem with people of all incomes living in Queens. What I do have a problem with is forced gentrification and displacement.
And if I was planning to run for office, why would I want to remain anonymous?

Ms. Forgione:
Do you want this version of Queens?

Our neighborhoods...Astoria, Flushing, Maspeth... are being destroyed by developers building garbage.
