Ok - So this home is currently owned by Assemblyman Brian McLaughlin, who was indicted on October 17 for "pocketing $2.2 million in ill-gotten gains". Yesterday the New York Daily News reported
"Prosecutors allege that McLaughlin employed several fraudulent schemes to renovate the home, including funneling money from the union to pay for construction supplies. They alleged that while on the clock for an electrical firm that had contracts with Local 3, a foreman helped do the renovations. McLaughlin used union funds to install a $5,875 home security system, pay his mortgage and handle bills from an unnamed subcontractor, the indictment charges".
Assemblyman McLaughlin bought this home in 2003 for $760,000 and is looking to make almost a cool million dollar profit - Not bad, seeing as the accusations claim that he did not pay for the renovations. Furthermore any buyer who would take interest in purchasing this home should be aware that the Federal Government is trying to seize this property to reimburse any and all monies taken.
