Last week I went to show a buyer a co-op in the LeHavre development and while we were in the apartment looking out the window she was asking me what buildings were what and as I was telling her about The Beechhurst Towers, she interrupts me and says "Charlie Chaplin used to live there."
As I laughed, I said "yes, how did you know... did you read that on my blog?"

Did you know that Charlie Chaplin lived in the Towers in Beechhurst? Well, in fact he did! When
he was 21 he moved to Beechhurst, New York from London. At this time he signed a motion picture contract with Keystone Films. He made his silent films right here in Astoria Studios and he lived in the Towers!
Today there are only two - ONE bedroom apartments available in this direct location. Both apartments have 13' ceilings, hardwood floors, renovated kitchens and baths. Both apartments are relatively new to the market. Just keep in mind that this building is a 6 story walk up and the apartments that are for sale are on the first and third floor.
